Full Job Description

We are seeking someone highly proactive and relationship-driven to manage and monetize existing excess inventory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and excels at connecting surplus inventory with the right buyers. Unlike traditional sales roles that rely on customer requests, this position focuses on outbound outreach to external companies, offering them existing inventory to maximize recovery value for the organization. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and market existing excess inventory across all product families (ICs, passives, memory, peripherals, CPUs, etc) to external brokers to recover value Initiate high-volume outbound outreach (approximately 20 touchpoints daily) to external buyers and broker networks Assess market opportunities and select offers that meet profitability thresholds. Decline or defer sales where pricing does not support Smiths best interest Ensure all transactions meet end-use compliance requirements, with a focus on the immediate buyers intended use. Maintain and deepen long-term relationships with broker and resale partners, becoming a go-to contact for inventory opportunities Qualifications 3 years of experience in the electronic components industry Proven success in outbound sales and relationship-building with external customers Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong analytical thinking and the ability to assess offer viability quickly Deep understanding of electronic components and surplus market dynamics This role is ideal for someone whos entrepreneurial, persistent and strategic.
