Make your mark in Actuarial Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIGs major insurance operating companies, globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Risk Management, among other functions. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk. How you will make an impact AIGs Summer Interns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. During the 10-week program, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement. Summer Interns join one of our key business teams, which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to meaningful on-the-job experiences, interns will join instructor-led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events and volunteering. Following completion of the program, interns may be considered for an Analyst role beginning in the summer of 2027. What youll need to succeed AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about the insurance industry. We also look for a diverse background of experience, culture and thought. Successful candidates typically have a global perspective and a team-oriented track record. Required Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area to be received no later than June 2027 (unofficial transcript required upon application). Program Dates Our 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from June 1 to August 7, 2026. Please note: Candidates must be available to join on the program start date and remain through the end date in order to be considered for this internship. Locations Early Career Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities and are available in Chicago, IL or New York, NY.
