Building Name: ECH - Elizabethtown Community Hospital Location Address: 75 Park Street, Elizabethtown New York Regular Department: ECH - Medical Surgical Full Time Standard Hours: 40 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: 80 Shift: Night-12Hr Primary Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Weekend Needs: Every Other Salary Range: Min $20.84 Mid $26.05 Max $31.26 Recruiter: Greg Cary The Clinical Assistant provides direct care to patients to include patient hygiene and activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Clinical Assistant performs those direct care activities which are allowed to be delegated to unlicensed personnel under the New York State Practice Act, regulations, hospital policies and standards met by Nursing Services. The Clinical Assistant position also performs support functions for the department as assigned by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or Manager. Qualifications / Job Requirements: Education / Skills Required: Must be high school graduate or equivalent work experience, including ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology. Previous experience as Clinical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician at least one year preferred, or ability to satisfactorily complete training program. Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients families, staff and management. Must be highly motivated, able to work outside the normal working hours as volume demands. Holds certification for Basic Life Support or willing to perform within first month of hire Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
