Full Job Description

This position is part of an early push to change how Manufacturing Operations uses data day to day. The Data Analyst joins the Process Control and Reliability team at a time when data is becoming central to how equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance decisions are made across SEL. Process Control and Reliability focuses on how manufacturing equipment behaves over time and why failures happen. The goal is to reduce unplanned downtime and help teams prevent issues instead of reacting after the fact. This position plays a major part in delivering critical data to inform decision makers. In this role, the Data Analyst works closely with engineers, technicians, and system owners to build and improve how manufacturing equipment data is collected, transformed, and used. That includes strengthening data sources, improving indicators, and applying statistical methods that support root cause analysis and predictive maintenance efforts. The work directly supports Manufacturing teams by giving them information they can trust and act on. This role shapes how data supports Manufacturing Operations and reinforces SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles through everyday decisions and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Analyze data using established statistical methods and deliver accurate, actionable, and timely results. 2. Maintain and improve indicators and metrics. 3. Use and improve established data sources, research alternative data sources when needed. Understand how additional data sources improve integrity and reporting. 4. Review, validate, and clean data; resolve and mitigate data inconsistencies. 5. Develop methods to avoid data inconsistencies at the point of data entry. 6. Collaborate with data owners to make system improvements. 7. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 8. Understand. Create. Simplify. 9. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Related technical BS degree in Math, Statistics, Social Science, or related experience 2+ years of experience Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills Strong attention to detail Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications Experience applying statistical skills in two of the following environments: manufacturing, electronics design or business Physical Requirements None Competitive pay. Pay range for the Data Analyst position is $84,200.00 - $124,500.00 per year. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
