About the Role As a Production Supervisor at Zekelman Industries in Rochelle, IL, you will play a key role in coordinating labor assignments and supervising employee development while ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. Shift: 3rd Shift What Youll Do Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. Perform quality checks on sites and equipment to ensure customer and quality standards are met. Develop work schedules to achieve production goals and maintain operational efficiency. Delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth workflow and accountability. Provide training, cross-training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Monitor and supervise cycle counts to maintain accurate warehouse and inventory records. Generate and review daily operation reports to ensure shift continuity and resolve operational issues. Identify, communicate, and escalate maintenance needs to appropriate departments. Collaborate with the Quality Department to develop and oversee site quality standards. Develop and implement action plans to achieve plant objectives and enhance efficiencies. Document injuries, recommend corrective actions, and ensure follow-up to maintain workplace safety. Hire, coach, develop, monitor, and evaluate staff performance while recommending personnel actions. Perform other duties as assigned to support plant success. Who You Are 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision. Working knowledge of shop floor interfaces such as MES and SAP or similar platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships and promote teamwork. Physical Abilities Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
