Flexible hours, 3-5 days/week Non-Exempt Compensation: $20.00/hour paid weekly Supervisory Responsibilities: None Position Summary: Acenda Integrated Health is seeking an IT Technical Specialist Intern to support the Health Information Management Department in Glassboro, New Jersey. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting the agency's computer systems, providing support for various devices, and ensuring systems run efficiently to meet organizational needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the monitoring of the agencys computer systems, assess and troubleshoot errors and lag, and update and upgrade systems Assist with providing necessary support for issues related to laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, and computer peripherals, such as printers, copiers, scanners, hard drives, and monitors Assist with providing technical support to workforce members and ensure systems operate effectively and efficiently to meet the organizations needs Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Competencies: Interpersonal Communication Collaboration and Teamwork Informatics Technical Proficiency Troubleshooting Abilities Technical Support Learning Objectives: Throughout the duration of the internship, the intern will learn how to: System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and update to ensure performance. Technical Support: Provide support for laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, and peripherals. Effective Communication: Communicate concerns to supervisors and suggest improvements timely. Professional Conduct: Exhibit professional behavior reflecting agency culture. Customer Interaction: Improve verbal communication with internal and external customers. Travel and Field Support: Travel to provide on-site technical support throughout the week. Education, Work Experience and/or Skills Requirements: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters level program at a NJ Institute of Higher Learning in Information Technology or related degree Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances. Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers The employee must occasionally move about to accomplish tasks, adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds.
