Responsibilities: Design and implement experimental and survey-based research studies to examine human behavior, perceptions, and decision-making. Develop research instruments (e.g. questionnaires) aligned with theoretical constructs. Operationalize social science theories and constructs into measurable variables for empirical study. Prepare and submit Institutional Review Board IIBR) compliance protocols. Ensure all research complied with ethical and regulatory standards for human subjects research. Conduct data collection with human subjects, including recruitment and administration of instruments. Develop science communication material (web content, podcasts, workshops) targeting public audiences, support stakeholder engagement strategies and community building efforts. Deliver science based outreach via social media platforms. Assist with research of extension programming and workshops, including training Agricultural stakeholders. Support community based education initiatives in food science and Agriculture. Manage social science components of the project, including the design and implementation of survey based research, development of theory driven instruments, human subjects data collection. Contribute to program evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and science communication efforts to assess perceptions, behaviors, and adoption pathways among Agricultural stakeholders. Required Qualifications: PhD or related degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the social and behavioral sciences. Experience with digital communication and educational resources, including virtual workshop series, podcast content, and public science communication. Collaborated on content strategy and audience engagement efforts to strengthen, Social Science Research and Human Subjects Advanced Quantitative Research, designed and implemented survey based research studies, developed research instruments, operationalized theoretical constructs, and conducted data collection with human subjects. Prepared and submitted Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, including consent forms, recruitment materials, and data management plans, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. Spanish language proficiency. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to interact and work effectively as a team member. Ability to multitask. Work cooperatively with others.
