Housekeeper Orchard Post Acute Fresno, CA Part-Time Pay Range: $17.48 - $17.50 per hour Join Our Team! Orchard Post Acute is seeking a dependable and motivated Housekeeper to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. General Purpose The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This position ensures resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces remain clean, sanitary, and free of hazards while supporting the comfort and well-being of those in our care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize assigned areas Clean lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, handrails, and other high-touch surfaces Empty trash receptacles and replace liners Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times Properly use and store housekeeping chemicals and equipment Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and equipment in a clean and organized manner Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or resident hazards immediately Monitor inventory and notify the Housekeeping Director when supplies need replenishment Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred but not required Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and supplies Work Environment The work environment is typical of a skilled nursing facility.
