Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university involving major study in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, or closely related field; OR, four (4) years of technician, or para-professional paid experience in one or more of the following industries: government, military, public heath or related safety and health field. Must have, or be able to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements under SPPM 7 and departmental driving standards to fulfill job responsibilities (dependent upon actual job responsibilities). Ability to obtain the following WSDA Public Health certifications within six (6) months of hire: Ornamental Insect and Disease Control, PCO General, and Public Health Control. Must have ability to wear a full-face air purifying respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus.
