Maintenance Assistant (Full-Time) Mission Valley Post Acute Location: Fremont, CA Pay: Starting at $23.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time Join Our Team Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operation and upkeep of our facility. In this role, you will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. If you are hands-on, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in maintaining high standards, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Assist with the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds. Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and functional environment. Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and team members. Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies in good working order. Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects. Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations. Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workplace. Participate in emergency preparedness initiatives and facility safety programs. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare facility, skilled nursing center, post-acute setting, apartment community, hotel, or commercial property preferred. Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting, repair, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed.
