C&LM delivers high quality and cost-effective energy efficiency programs to natural gas and electricity customers in NY, CT and MA. This position will be responsible for complex data analyses and business systems support. It will also support program data, data analysis and information requests; regulatory filings support; advanced technical reporting; energy efficiency programs tracking tool (eTRACK+); and develop and implement reports and dashboards leveraging available analytical tools. The Energy Specialist role provides customers with money-saving solutions to help improve comfort and reduce energy bills. The incumbent will join our experienced team is implementing some of the most innovative energy efficiency programs in the United States. This role will be responsible for working in specialized business systems, organizing very large and complex caches of data and data analysis. This includes being expected to run, combine and/or disaggregate our available data to generate reports for various departments as well as externally to meet regulatory requirements. The Energy Specialist will be responsible for refining our databases and reporting capabilities to function more efficiently. This includes supporting the implementation team by offering insights into how to best organize and format their databases. This position will also work on special projects requiring data entry, cleaning and preparing data sets, (usually in instances of unplanned data requests, tight deadlines, or periods where multiple project assignments overlap. The Energy Specialist will be envisioned to help bolster the technical capabilities of the Conservation and Load Management team that works collaboratively to implement energy efficiency programs and community outreach, supported by finance and procurement/functions. This role will support these various business groups in preparing reports and/or assistance with preparing and organizing data. Responsibilities: Strong knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in data analysis, including sourcing, compiling and interpreting data, performing data analysis on an advanced level and communicating and directing analysis output. Solicit, review and analyze business data requirements tied to compliance and performance reporting. Compile large datasets, clean and prepare data for analysis and reporting (e.g., identify missing data, identify and correct data entry errors). Deliver intelligence & insights to end-users and key stakeholders through execution of the data visualization lifecycle. Create repeatable, scalable processes for future source onboarding for data acquisition. Validate data model and asset solution with data owners and consumers Ensuring requests for accessing data meets the defined privacy, security and compliance needs as set by data owners and based on regulatory and contractual requirements. Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to understand business needs pertaining to data, data acquisition and data lifecycle, database management and performance reporting and translate requirements into rational and logical data model needs. Promote and engage in a hard-working team culture, including demonstrating a profound commitment towards reducing energy usage. Collaborate with business stakeholders and source system subject matter experts to identify and document source system attributes and map attributes to a common model. Demonstrate experience with IT project management concepts including identifying business objectives, requirement gathering, and experience with working in a project role on IT implementation and/or software project implementation. Provide operational support and system administration. Must be customer driven, display initiative, accept responsibility, hold others accountable, participate in and facilitate team effectiveness, and think and act analytically. Use strong analytical skills to QAQC other peoples work and flag for errors, anomalies etc. Troubleshoot issues within existing worksheets and databases. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, IT Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a related field of study and a minimum of five (5) plus years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Relevant experience includes working Demand Side Management (DSM) systems and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, with advanced level skills in Excel. Strong knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in data analysis, and database management. Experience with data collection and screening; Analyzing, visualizing, and reporting data; Attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving skills; Creating reports and dashboards for review. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service. Ability to maximize effectiveness by using time management, territory management, prioritization of work and effective utilization of all resources. Knowledge of energy efficiency engineering concepts related to measures and measure calculations (i.e., energy engineering formulas to calculate savings from measures that impact end uses such as lighting, heating, cooling, refrigeration, motors, process). Technical experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) data pulling; using Structured Query Language (SQL); using Power BI, Tableau or other data analytics/visualization software; and developing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, running queries in various systems and data gathering.
