Job Title: DevOps Engineer Current Need: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team. This role will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and automated DevSecOps platforms that support on-demand environment provisioning and release automation. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of Agile practices, and a collaborative mindset to support product teams across McKesson. Key Responsibilities DevSecOps Platform Architect and implement a secure DevSecOps platform to support environment provisioning on demand. Enable release-on-demand capabilities through automation and integration with CI/CD pipelines. Drive adoption of DevSecOps best practices across engineering teams. CI/CD & Automation Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Integrate tools like SonarQube, Veracode, and Github Advance Security for quality and security assurance. Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for containerized and PaaS applications. Cloud Infrastructure & IaC Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep across Azure AKS, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, and other Azure PaaS services. Configure and manage Azure networking, including VPCs, subnets, and NSGs. Security & Governance Implement secure code scanning, secrets management, and policy enforcement. Ensure compliance with internal security standards and change management processes. Agile & Release Management Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to support sprint-based delivery, release planning, and change management. Automate change request creation from Jira stories and maintain documentation in Confluence. Lead release automation initiatives to reduce manual overhead and improve deployment velocity. Troubleshooting & Support Debug and triage build, deployment, and runtime issues across environments. Provide operational support for production releases and incident resolution. Cross-Team Collaboration Partner with developers, QA, security, and operations teams across McKesson to ensure alignment and delivery excellence. Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams. Critical Skills Required: Hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles. Proficiency with: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker Azure AKS, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, Azure Networking Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Veracode CI/CD pipelines, Maven or Gradle Experience designing DevSecOps platforms and enabling on-demand environments. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, release, and change management processes. Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Minimum Qualifications: Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in DevOps Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GitOps, trunk-based development, and canary deployments. Familiarity with observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, or Azure Monitor. Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices. Relocation is not budgeted for this role Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without the support from McKesson. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
