Onsite parking is available. Shift Details: Day shift, Monday-Friday. Must be available for holiday and weekend coverage as needed. JOB DESCRIPTION The Material Handler position consists of manifold responsibilities within Supply Chain Services. Individuals interested in this position must be willing to learn and perform varied tasks and have the flexibility to work various shifts and schedules. The Material Handler is responsible for inventorying and restocking nursing PAR areas for medical-surgical and linen supplies, entering replenishment orders into the MMIS computer application, picking supplies, and making deliveries of varied types to customers. This position is responsible for truck driving and use of manual and electric material handling equipment. Material Handler staff may be called upon to perform any one or more of these functions based on a particular job assignment. CORE COMPETENICIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service Orientation Demonstrates responsiveness and professionalism in interactions with internal customers. Provides accurate and timely delivery of supplies and services. Attention to Detail Accurately picks, packs, and delivers supplies. Maintains precise inventory records and documentation. Technical Proficiency Operates MMIS (Premier Connect) and hand-held data terminals for inventory and order processing. Uses manual and electric material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Physical Stamina and Safety Awareness Capable of lifting and carrying 3550 lbs and pushing/pulling over 74 lbs. Adheres to safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe driving practices. Adaptability and Flexibility Willingness to work varied shifts and perform diverse tasks. Responds effectively to urgent delivery requests and changing priorities. Communication Skills Communicates clearly with team members and customers. Provides information regarding stock items and delivery status. Organizational Skills Maintains a clean and organized work area and delivery vehicle. Efficiently restocks and rotates inventory. Compliance and Confidentiality Follows organizational policies regarding confidentiality and compliance. Completes mandatory training and adheres to professional standards. Team Collaboration Works cooperatively with distribution staff and supervisors. Participates in cross-training and supports team goals. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Valid Vermont drivers license with clean driving record required. EXPERIENCE: Previous pick, pack and shipping experience in either a distribution or retail environment. Customer service and dock-high truck driving experience also desired. This is a bargaining union position.
