Description of Work Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences The posting will close and stop accepting applications at 11:59 pm on the night prior to the closing date posted above. ***Recruitment range is $37,782 - $58,000** This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, as well as retirement. Description of Work: The position serves as the program assistant to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Director and Community Development Block Grant, Section Chief and is the main program contact for customers and coordinates transactional activities. Specific duties includes: providing administrative support including schedule and travel management for the directors and senior managers; coordinating requisition processing for Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) from origination to payment; preparing and processing Budget Authorizations (BDA) for Appalachian Regional Commission. Southeast Crescent Regional Commission (SCRC), and Community Development Block Grant staff travel; assisting with federal program application processing and tracking; performing program application reviews for accuracy and completeness; preparing Grant Agreements, Fiscal Agent Agreements, and Funding Approvals for Appalachian Regional Commission, Southeast Crescent Regional Commission and Community Development Block Grant programs. Division of Rural & Economic Development The Rural Economic Development Division (REDD)'s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funding is available to local units of government and municipalities for projects to enhance the vitality of communities through the provision of decent housing and suitable living environments and expanding economic opportunities. CDBG program funds primarily serve individuals and households with low and moderate incomes.
