Brown & Brown is seeking a Private Client Sales Producer to join our growing team! Teammate has flexibility to choose their home office from the following: Richmond or Manassas, VA or Columbia, MD. The Sales Producer position is responsible for promoting the sale of new and renewal business, providing a source of insurance expertise to clients, and assisting in the growth and profitability of the department. The Producer will coordinate with the Account Manager/Executive as necessary for prospects and existing client needs. How You Will Contribute Remain current on industry trends, information, carriers, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology Assist the Profit Center Leader in developing marketing strategies to accomplish and support business planning objectives. Prospect for new Private Client accounts to meet or exceed marketing plan via telephone calls, written correspondence or personal visits. Establish direct client contact with key accounts and prospects. Work closely with Account Managers/Executives and producers from other departments regarding placement of new/renewal business. Interpret, analyze, negotiate and offer recommendations on coverage based on individual client needs. Assist in collection of receivable balances before they age to 60 days. Assist in training of new Producers at the direction of the Profit Center Leader. Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities. Keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, including product offerings and changing insurance consumer trends and needs. Consistently meet all Brown & Brown established quality control procedures and timelines. Actively participate in social, civic, and trade organizations to represent Brown & Brown's community/client commitment. Remain up to date with current market conditions and status of competition. Licenses and Certifications: Property & Casualty insurance license. CIC designation preferred but not required Skills & Experience to Be Successful: Experience in the insurance industry with a strong emphasis in the Private Client personal lines insurance Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience. Proficient with management operating systems that support insurance sales, tracking and service. Proficient with Microsoft Tools, Outlook, Word. College degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience. Pay Range $55,000 - $115,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
