Starting Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $91,500.00 Position Summary: The CIS System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the CIS system, managing relationships with Itineris, Umax Software provider (Vendor), and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This position administers the Customer Information System, including user access controls and position-based access and working with BWL IT and Vendor to approve patches, system upgrades, and is responsible for night batch scheduling. Advanced level comprehension of data file encryption processes. Oversees data automation, implements data analytics, and program maintenance. Works with users to implement data standards and quality assurance programs. Reports to the Supervisor of Customer Operations. Essential Functions: Manage the day-to-day operations of the CIS by monitoring performance, configuration, and maintenance. Ensures that records of system downtime are properly maintained and communicated to affected areas. Establishes, maintains, and manages user accounts. Work with vendor to assist support activities related to system revisions. Create, manage and maintain both Private and Public Encryption Key pairs used with ESB and vendors that interface with UMAX. Investigate and troubleshoot issues with associated systems impacting CIS. Able to self-manage rate testing iterations including delegating tasks to others or obtain assistance from others without management involvement. Answer technical queries and assist users. Troubleshoot any reported problems or errors within the CIS systems. Basic configuration of CIS systems as needed to meet business requirements. Complete CIS rate updates as part of an ongoing rate testing and deployment cadence. Document processes and create procedures, manuals, and training modules for associated tasks, in conjunction with the CS Training lead. Maintain and update all system related documentation. Maintain and purge data items as per BWL's data retention policies. Management of system configuration. Coordinate release management with IT. Communicate changes implemented in each Release to affected departments. Work directly with users and customers to identify needs and resolve software configuration problems. Monitor and troubleshoot common and daily tasks / events as well as changes in close collaboration with the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Team. Monitor and manage the nightly batch schedule. Write internal knowledge base and customer service materials. Reproduce, test, resolve and document software bugs, defects and problems. Function as Test Lead to coordinate and manage Subject Matter Experts in testing sessions related to system bugs, enhancements and upgrades. Develop reports using applications such as SQL Server Reporting Server (SSRS) and Power BI. Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules. Predictable and reliable attendance. Job Specifications: Required: Bachelors degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years experience in system administration of data or other systems. 3 years experience in complex systems design, programming, and systems software support; competency in multiple system environments, fileservers, operating systems and applications; advanced knowledge of client server environments, networks, various programing languages and operating systems of common equipment and technologies in use Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record. Demonstrate effective project management techniques. diversified knowledge of system administration principles and practices. Knowledge of HTML coding. Work well with customers, outside agencies and vendors. Excellent skills in the following areas: business case development, leadership, integrity, business acumen and safety consciousness. Preferred: Previous experience with customer information systems; Microsoft BI proficiency; Microsoft Azure proficiency; understanding of BWL customer service standards and guidelines.
