The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidates geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity. What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Responsibilities Perform a variety of tasks ranging from operating machine tools and automation equipment. Loading machines (Boxes, pampers, wipes into the machine) and packaging product. Setting up machines, adjustments, and minor maintenance on machines. Conduct quality inspections, as well as quality and processing audits. Perform repackage/rework when necessary. Retrieve finished product from the machine and pack it into pre-formed cases. Receive filled unsealed cases of product from the pack off, seal and stack the cases and send them to the warehouse. Complete necessary production and quality paperwork as required. Perform pre-operational check of automatic case sealing machine and bagger. Prepare for next shift by ensuring sufficient supplies are present, area and trash containers are clean, Marsh printer is reset, and rework is complete. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred 1-3 years related work experience and/or training preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area. Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications. Works on basic and routine assignments. Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods. Adheres to all quality guidelines. Works under close supervision. All work is reviewed for accuracy. Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding.
