Job Title: Financial Controller US & Canada Location: Reston, Virginia (hybrid 2/3 days in office) Type: Permanent, full-time About the role: We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance and controlling activities across our US and Canada region. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective collaboration with stakeholders across BSIs North American operations. This opportunity is suited to a qualified finance professional with strong IFRS expertise, regional experience, and the ability to lead and develop teams while partnering effectively in a matrix organisation. As a senior leadership role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for financial oversight, reporting, and compliance, acting as a trusted partner to regional leadership while ensuring robust financial controls across the business. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact across BSIs North American operations. Responsibilities: Lead all financial accounting and reporting activities for BSIs US & Canada entities. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of internal and external financial reports in line with Group and statutory requirements. Act as a trusted finance business partner to the local leadership team and wider stakeholders. Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment; support internal audit and controls testing. Liaise with shared services (FBS) to ensure optimal execution of transactional activities. Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing finance team; oversee workload delegation and team development. Coordinate year-end group audit activities and local statutory filings with external advisors. Deliver monthly working capital cash flow forecasts and contribute to broader finance change initiatives. To be successful in the role, you will have: Professionally qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent). In-depth knowledge of IFRS and regional finance requirements in the US & Canada. Proven experience managing finance teams in a matrix environment. Strong background in financial control, audit, tax, and professional services. Exceptional organisational skills, stakeholder management, and business partnering capability. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience is highly desirable.
