This position plays a key role in providing quality meal service and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities Learn and follow facility food service procedures and routines Set up resident meal trays accurately and efficiently Serve meals and assist residents during meal service as needed Clear and break down meal trays following service Operate commercial dishwashing equipment Monitor and record dishwasher temperatures and sanitation levels Prepare snacks, nourishments, and supplements for residents Sweep and mop kitchen and dietary areas Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and kitchen equipment Properly store groceries and supplies Remove trash and maintain a sanitary work environment Assist cooks and dietary supervisors as needed Participate in department orientation and ongoing training Work cooperatively with team members and other facility departments Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and a positive attitude Compassion for an underserved population We are an equal opportunity employer.
