Where Youll Work This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection. Why this Role Matters As a Senior Software Engineer at Litera, you will play a key role in advancing the technology behind Kira, one of our flagship products used by legal professionals worldwide. This role is critical to delivering scalable, high-performing SaaS solutions that improve user experience, reliability, and platform innovation across a complex modern tech stack. Youll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product teams to shape the future of our platform while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement. Your work will directly influence product stability, system performance, and the speed at which we deliver value to customers. What Youll Deliver Design and deliver scalable, user-focused features across backend services, APIs, and frontend applications Drive improvements to platform performance, reliability, and maintainability across a complex SaaS environment Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product goals into technical solutions that support long-term growth Lead technical problem-solving efforts, proactively identifying and resolving product-level issues Contribute reusable, high-quality code that accelerates future development and platform consistency Influence architectural decisions that strengthen scalability, security, and system robustness Support a collaborative engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, and process improvements Help evolve engineering best practices that enable teams to deliver efficiently and continuously improve What Youll Bring Must-Haves: Proven professional software development experience using Clojure Strong understanding of scalable SaaS application development and modern software architecture Solid SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL Experience designing and building RESTful APIs Knowledge of software testing methodologies and engineering best practices Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed, cross-functional teams Nice-to-Haves: Experience with ClojureScript Familiarity with AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies Understanding of application security principles Passion for continuous learning and improving engineering processes We know great candidates dont always check every box. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
