Job Description: Deco Printer Mechanic Location: Nichols, NY Salary: We offer competitive pay starting at $32.52 to $48.78 *Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level* Hours: Night shift position on a 2/2/3 scheduled of two days on then two days off then three days on. Then days on and off rotate the following week. This is a 12 hour shift. RESPONSIBILIITIES: Operates the printer, trains and offers aid to other operators. Verifies proper setup of printer equipment... Inspects printers for quality defects in the manufacturing process. Performs label design changeover setups. Performs preventative maintenance assignments. Performs hourly quality control checks to ensure printer and related equipment is within specifications. Audits printer applications to ensure SOP specifications are met. Analyze spoilage, record causes and take corrective actions where applicable. Monitors equipment or processes and reports all problems to supervision. Follows all SOP operating procedures. Keeps area safe, clean and organized. Job Requirements Competencies: Candidate must successfully pass a Crown Color/Hue test. A high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred). An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (journeyman card, technical license, etc.). Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required for these roles. Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment. High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment. Strong math and computer skills. This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
