Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable and caring On-Call Dietary Aide to join our team! Help support our residents nutrition, comfort, and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and providing friendly, attentive meal service. Schedule: On-call, providing coverage as needed. Hours and shifts may vary based on facility needs. Responsibilities Assist with preparing and serving meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs. Assemble meal trays with the correct foods, portions, beverages, and utensils. Follow instructions for special diets, food textures, and resident preferences. Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas. Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dining, and storage areas. Assist with receiving, labeling, and properly storing food and supplies. Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures. Communicate resident meal concerns to the Dietary Supervisor. Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service. Qualifications Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills. Willingness to provide coverage for varying shifts as needed.
