Role summary: The (USA) Manager, Merchandising Planning, leads the development and execution of data-driven financial forecasts and category strategies to optimize business performance. This role partners cross-functionally to align merchandising plans with customer insights and market trends, driving informed decisions on features, promotions, and assortment. The manager provides actionable recommendations, supports budgeting processes, and delivers comprehensive financial reporting. By fostering collaboration and maintaining high ethical standards, this position ensures the achievement of business objectives while enhancing customer value and operational excellence within the merchandising function. About the team: The Toys Merchandising Execution Team transforms merchant strategies into effective actions, ensuring product availability and profitability. Utilizing skills in merchandising, category management, financial forecasting, and data analysis, the team develops actionable plans aligned with business objectives. They collaborate across functions to evaluate market trends and customer behavior, optimizing merchandising decisions. Committed to operational excellence and strong financial performance, the team drives continuous improvement and informed decision-making. Their efforts support overall business success by maintaining high standards and leveraging insights to enhance category outcomes and customer satisfaction. What you'll do: Develop and execute merchandising plans using data-driven insights and financial forecasting to optimize category performance. Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasts, promotional strategies, and inventory allocation with business objectives. Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market data to inform assortment and pricing decisions. Monitor category financial health, providing regular updates and actionable recommendations to leadership. Lead post-event and modular reviews to assess performance and drive accountability for results. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging digital tools and best practices to enhance planning processes. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in merchandising and category management with strong financial forecasting skills. Ability to analyze complex data and leverage business intelligence to drive category performance and strategic decisions. Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and developing actionable financial plans. Strong capability in feature and promotion management using historical data and market insights. Skilled in collaborating cross-functionally to align forecasts and influence business outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering a high-performing team environment. Proficient in communicating financial results and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
