Job Description Position Overview The Manager, Renewable Procurement will be responsible for formulating commercial strategy and leading commercial negotiations for electrical substation and power generation equipment in support of Invenergys development, engineering, and construction activities. Procurement activities will support wind, solar, thermal, and energy storage projects with a focus on long-lead High Voltage (HV) Substation equipment and Gas Combustion Generators. This role reports to the Senior Director of Renewable Procurement. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead commercial negotiations for power generation equipment supply contracts (e.g. high voltage breakers, electrical transformers, electrical switchgear, and gas combustion turbines). Ensure that terms and conditions are in line with market expectations and align with all applicable project agreements including construction agreements and project sale agreements. Manage equipment supply contracts post-execution. Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled on time and documented ahead of hand-off to the Project Manager. Maintain existing commercial relationships with key equipment suppliers and endeavor to evaluate, establish, and cultivate new relationships with strategic suppliers. Collaborate with the technical procurement, engineering, construction, and operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position Invenergys pipeline of renewable energy projects. Support the management and deployment of equipment held in inventory. Support maintaining compliance with the storage & maintenance covenants for equipment supply loans. Maintain relationship with logistics service providers for the loading & transportation of equipment from central warehouses/storage facilities to projects under construction. Maintain internal pricing database based on continuous market research and continuous development of market knowledge and pricing trends. Collaborate with the estimating team to support internal project pricing efforts. Assist in the preparation and management of Request for Proposal packages as well as evaluation of all equipment supply bids. Direct oversight of 1 or more analyst/associates to support forecasting and execution. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline 5 or more years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related field Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Proven commercial negotiation skills, with an understanding of the legal aspects of procurement and contracting Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills Proven analytical skills, with an understanding of financial analysis for business decisions Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications Experience in data management and reporting using data visualization software is a plus Technical understanding of power generation equipment is a plus 5+ years of experience in the energy industry is preferred Base Pay $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 25% - 40% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
