Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sentinel is looking to add a Nucler Surety Systems Engineers to join the team in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to: Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions Basic Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs Sole Citizenship to the United States of America 1 year of experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, NX, Capitol T02: Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience T03: Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience or a PhD and 1 year of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nuclear, electrical, or software engineering discipline Active DOD Top Secret Clearance 1 year of experience with electrical analyses/test and verification of requirements Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107) Experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program Position Benefits: As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including Medical, Dental & Vision coverage Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. #Sentinelsystems Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $132,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
