Category Management Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Category Management Specialist to join our Supply Chain Systems Strategy team in Everett, WA. The BCA Supply Chain Category Strategy team is looking for Supply Chain Strategy Specialists to lead the development of its Systems category strategies. This position will help integrate BCAs range of needs to meet business goals, from make/buy decisions and strategic work placement to Intellectual Property Management and technology roadmaps for sourcing categories. You will be required to interface and integrate program strategies and objectives with the functional, BCA and enterprise strategies and objectives. You will have responsibility for full lifecycle, cross-program decision making to achieve recurring cost reduction and after-market revenue targets for your categories. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior (Level 4) or Lead (Level 5) Category Management Specialist. Position Responsibilities: Provides business and strategic guidance for critical suppliers, commodities and programs Leads the resolution of complex or strategic supply chain issues Consults with management and customers to lead the development of future supply base requirements Develops and integrates supplier strategies with program needs and supply base capabilities Develops and proposes supply chain architecture for future airplane programs Conducts and leads trade studies for best value-capture Drives the company's cross-functional supply base strategy process Evaluates potential proposals and supports sourcing proposals Develop details category plans and drives strategy near and long term within the category Leads cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans for key high value projects Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): 7+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management 7+ years of experience in communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership 7+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills 7+ years of experience with strategy development and execution Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): Bachelors Degree or Advanced Degree 15+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management 15+ years of experience in communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership 15+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills 15+ years of experience with strategy development and execution Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
