Build your future in environmental consulting while helping global clients solve complex sustainability challenges. ERM is seeking a motivated Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance to join our team in Philadelphia, PA or Ewing, NJ. In this role, you will partner with Project Managers and senior leaders to deliver high-quality environmental compliance and sustainability solutions, supporting clients in managing risk, improving performance, and meeting regulatory requirements. What Your Impact Is: Support clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations Contribute to sustainability and environmental risk management initiatives across industries Partner with experienced consultants and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality project outcomes Play a hands-on role in field investigations and data collection that inform critical environmental decisions Help drive continuous improvement in EHS management systems and compliance programs What You'll Bring: Required Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, occupational health and safety, or related discipline or equivalent experience. 23 years (2-5 years preferred) of relevant environmental experience or professional internships. Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience supporting safety plans, with the ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and challenging terrain. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports. Experience working with data, including building and maintaining tables and spreadsheets. Highly organized with strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of the broader project picture. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. Ability to pass a pre-hire background check and drug test. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Preferred EIT, ASP, CHMM, or similar professional certification. Masters degree in a related field. Experience supporting environmental permitting, compliance programs, or due diligence projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence transaction projects Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and wastewater programs Perform EHS compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions Support development of EHS compliance and management system programs Provide on-site and remote EHS compliance support to clients Perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments for property transactions Conduct environmental fieldwork, including groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water sampling, as well as ecological field studies Conduct inspections to verify EHS compliance at client sites Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations while ensuring high-quality deliverables Collaborate with ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value For the Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance position, the anticipated annual base pay is $80,000$100,613 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
