WROC-TV/RochesterFirst.com in Rochester, New York is hiring a Production Director who is responsible for researching, planning, managing and producing news programming. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Code and Direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross OverDrive and ENPS Stream live and prerecorded productions using OBS Studio Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers, and other Directors to enhance our final on-air product Edit with technical proficiency and visual effectiveness using Adobe Premiere Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitasking, problem-solving, and making last-minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines Be self-sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities. Perform other job-related requests and duties as assigned Requirements & Skills: Bachelors degree in communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred Experience with cross-platform live streaming is preferred Ross OverDrive, ENPS, Adobe Premiere and OBS experience a plus Demonstrate excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written Available to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays), as well as extended hours as assigned Compensation: $17-$18/hour commensurate with applicants experience and skill level.
