Job Details: Pay: $22.85 hour This plant does not accept rehires. Job Description: This position is for Forklift Operator PR03 in the Danville, VAfacility. The Team Member will be responsible forensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely mannerwhile maintaininga safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Operatesin a safe manner, and in accordance toall company policies and procedures. Uses a handheld computer to pick and scan product. Communicates effectively with other TM's and assistsin coordinating to accomplishall assigned tasks. Operatespowered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck. Inspects daily, charges batteries, maintainsbattery water level, and changes batteriesas necessary. Delivers raw materials, packaging, and pallets to the appropriate productionareas. Moves inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area. Moves finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area. Unloads trucks. Covers and stretch-wraps pallets. Ensures assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging. Records movement transactions in the SAP system. Ensures all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly. Maintainan organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP's, and USDA regulations. Reports any damages, discrepancies, unsafe behaviors, and risks to Lead. Requirements: Must have at least 6 months documented forklift experience, can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months. 3-month powered industrial truck experience listed on the application preferred Must be able to lift a 50pounds and push/pull 100 lb. Must be able to stand for long periods. Must wear steel/composite toe boots that conform to site requirements. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends. Must be able to work in a cold environment ( -10 degrees below zero to 40 degrees F). Must be willing to accomplishother duties as assigned.
