We build and maintain the systems that drive our campaigns, promotions, targeting, and customer engagement across multiple channels and products. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, youll help shape the next generation of our MarTech infrastructure by building scalable systems and automating our marketing stack. What youll do as a Senior Software Engineer Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power personalized marketing experiences for millions of DraftKings customers. Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Marketing stakeholders to implement systems that tailor campaigns and content to customer preferences. Lead initiatives to modernize and automate our internal MarTech stack, increasing efficiency and innovation velocity. Own services deployed in a cloud-native environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability at scale. Contribute to system architecture and design discussions with a focus on scalability, performance, and fault tolerance. What youll bring 3+ years of experience working in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#. 3+ years of experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with JavaScript and front-end integration (experience with React or similar frameworks is a plus). 3+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred). A strong understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and scalability challenges. Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborating across multiple teams.
