New2U Free Thrift Store employees will oversee Union's clothing upcycling program by running on-campus clothing donation drives and staffing the thift store located in Webster Hall. Department: Class Deans Location: Webster Hall (Thrift Store) Student Supervisor: Eun-sil Lee/Rebecca Fields Work available: Days Pay rate: $9.70/hr DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage New2U Free Thrift Store space in Webster Hall including hosting open shopping hours, and managing stock of clothing and items Facilitate clothing drives to collect items from students including advertising, and managing donations Host free clothing pop-up events on campus in high traffic locations and at relevant events Collaborate with student organizations, departments, and community partners to collaborate on events and programs Develop new avenues to promote and support sustainable clothing practices among Union students and community QUALIFICATIONS Union College student who is eligible for work study Ideal candidates will be outgoing, personable, and passionate about supporting their community. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and ability to troubleshoot challenges with wisdom gained from previous experiences are all highly valued in this role. General proficiency in Google Workspace is required.
