Position Summary: Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit. Specific Summary of Duties: Software Tools: Become an expert in all the software tools and Career Prep System Roadmaps used in Career Services including Vmock, Handshake, Big Interview, PeopleGrove, LinkedIn, RingCentral, MS Teams, Zoom, Calendly, etc. Tech Support: Assist Senior Missionary with technology promptly and cheerfully, even if it interrupts a project you are working on. Approve Users: Review users who are trying to gain access to Ensign Connect (PeopleGrove), Handshake, Vmock and other tools and approve, assist or deny access. Teach co-workers who work in those areas how to assist with this task Create training: Create training courses using Loom video, screenshots, etc. to help current and future team members become competent with the software tools they need to be successful in their roles. Project Assistance: Help with other assigned projects or events as needed in the department, including data cleaning, etc. MS Projects: Regularly check, update and close project tasks Job Qualification: Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing. Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication. Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately. Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff. Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed. Friendly, patient personality Excellent at explaining technology Proficient in general software applications.
