Full Job Description

This job will be accepting job applications until the position is filled. Annual Salary: $48,184.50 - $51,577.50 Hourly: $24.71 - $26.45 Department: Public Safety, Traffic & Transportation Division: Electronics & Traffic Signal Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: This role will run overhead and underground cable, install traffic signals, and perform required maintenance. Examples of Duties: Installs, maintains & repairs overhead and underground cables. Installs, maintains & repairs traffic signals. Inspects the working conditions of trucks. Performs preventative maintenance on all signals. Makes sure all signals are communicating properly and lenses are clean and visible. Performs work from bucket truck or platform truck. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree (AA/AS) and 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid drivers license. Ability to obtain CDL permit within six months of employment and CDL license within one year of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Other Necessary Requirements: May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the Citys needs.
