Job Description Purpose of the role To monitor quality standards and policies and support the implementation of these across all operational processes. To collaborate with control owners to execution Risk Control Self Assessments (RSCA) that measure the effectiveness of controls. Accountabilities Identification of regulatory trends and industry developments that may impact the banks operations. Support the implementation of quality standards and policies by collaborating across all operational teams and processes. Development of reports and presentations on control performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders. Participation in projects and initiatives aimed to improve control efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration with Control Owners to develop and manage RCSA to monitor design effectiveness, appropriateness of controls, compliance to regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement. Support operational teams with the formal escalation and management of incidents, departmental procedures, record management and controls testing. Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information. Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation. You will create automated monitoring that replaces manual checks with meaningful insights leaders can act upon. To be successful as a Controls and Analytics Developer, you should have: Foundational skill set in data analysis such as Python, SQL, SAS, or similar and feel confident navigating large, messy datasets A willingness to develop analyses into automated, repeatable monitoring solutions rather than producing oneoff reports Ample curiosity about using data to verify that processes and systems are functioning as intended, along with an enthusiasm for learning how effective controls are created Ability to communicate your work transparently and effectively, clearly explaining what you tested, what you discovered, and why those findings matter to partners and teammates Some other highly valued skills may include: Experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools to present monitoring results clearly and effectively Familiarity with scheduling or ETL concepts, or an interest in learning how recurring monitoring is operationalized Organized and detail-oriented, with an appreciation for accuracy, documentation, and validation in a regulated environment You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is located in Whippany, NJ, Wilmington, DE and Henderson, NV locations. Salary for Whippany: Minimum Salary: $75,000 Maximum Salary: $95,000 The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available. Barclays employees are eligible for a suite of competitive and generous employee benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, and other paid leave for qualifying circumstances. This position is eligible for an incentive award. Salary for Henderson: Minimum Salary: $75,000 Maximum Salary: $95,000 The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
