Job Description: We are looking for a Manager of Media Planning with experience in strategy and communications planning. The Manager, Media Planning role is a critical role with one direct report, potentially more in time, and you will report into the Senior Director, Communications Planning. You must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the media space and available media research and systems. You will lead the daily account needs by assuring focus on key client goals, and communicating appropriate resource needs. Responsibilities: Communication Planning & Strategy You will support preparation and development of media strategies based on insights for brands through gathering, analysis and interpretation of market data, research results and competitor intelligence You will deliver a strategic approach to the client from A to Z (research, strategy development, outcome delivery) while managing other projects Identify audience insights and opportunities to translate them into strategic and creative platform You will manage relationships with creative counterparts to ensure media strategy and creative assets work hand-in-hand to meet campaign goals Work with leadership to identify opportunities to offer more services for current clients Build Consultative Partnerships Be the primary contact for selected clients and partners Clarify client briefs for the greater team by understanding client's needs, identifying goals and opportunities. You will manage client and partner expectations and deliverables Be a conduit between clients, partners, and channel teams to ensure that strategy is being implemented, as well as share insights and recommendations Leadership & Team Development You will train and guide Associate to grow and nurture team environment/culture Construct and deliver high quality, accurate and timely performance management Manage team resources and workload Qualifications: Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in strategic media planning Minimum 2 years working in a media agency environment Prior experience working on a high-tech or enterprise level client Prior experience managing a direct report Understanding of creative development process (able to speak creative) Understanding of communication/branding, digital marketing and creative best practices Additional Information: The annual salary range for this position is $62,100-$83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
