MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic and strategic Manager, Sponsorship Consulting to work with our Fortune 500 clients and use your experience working in the WNBA and women's sports to advise our clients on the best partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management and measurement. You will have in-depth WNBA and women's sports experience to manage strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns. You will lead a junior team of experienced marketers in developing, executing, and measuring performance of WNBA activation programs. Successful employees will approach unexpected challenges quickly and creatively. You will report into the Director, Sponsorship Consulting. You have the following attributes: Knowledge of and ability to navigate the WNBA ecosystem Strategic knowledge in brand marketing to develop sponsorship strategies for consumer brands Negotiation expertise Lead and collaborate with teams from different offices around the country Experience with the broader sponsorship landscape is helpful (NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, WNBA, F1, etc.) specifically WNBA and women's sports Prior experience of customer/retailer landscape with a CPG focus Present high-level sponsorship concepts to senior client leaders Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions Produce creative solutions to business and marketing challenges facing our clients Key Responsibilities Help manage a team of seasoned professionals with an ability to inspire best-in-class work and cultivate careers for rising stars Develop client solutions and be able to present to the most senior levels and client organizations Establish relationships with client leaders/team members and grow revenue through astute knowledge of cross-selling organizational capabilities Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships Strategize with clients to ensure athlete relationships and contracts are managed/implemented Write and develop important documents including POV documents to client-ready status Negotiate with local and national rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements that surpass client expectations Work with internal agency teams, and collaborate with partner agencies to create go-to-market strategies. Contribute to the agency new business activities including brainstorming, presentation writing and presentation delivery Occasional travel is required, included weekends and occasional holidays Experience/Educational Requirements: At least 5 years directly related experience 2+ years of sponsorship strategy within the WNBA and women's sports landscape BA/BS in Marketing related field The annual salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
