Zayo is seeking a high-performing Account Director to hunt new and grow revenue within upper-tier regional banks and large financial services enterprises. This role is built for a huntersomeone who thrives in complex sales cycles, drives net-new revenue, and positions Zayo as a strategic infrastructure partner to CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and infrastructure leaders. The Account Director will sell across Zayos full communications infrastructure portfolio, positioning Zayo as a trusted partner supporting resiliency, regulatory compliance, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives within the banking sector. Location: This remote work role will consider applicants that currently reside in the Northern Ohio area (Cleveland / Akron / Toledo / Columbus). Responsibilities: Own and execute a hunter-led sales motion focused on acquiring and expanding high-value regional banking customers. Develop and advance a net-new opportunity pipeline aligned to monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Identify whitespace across target accounts, uncovering opportunities tied to data center expansion, branch consolidation, cloud migration, M&A, regulatory requirements, and resiliency initiatives. Lead large, multi-product, multi-location sales engagements, often involving long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers. Apply a consultative, trusted-advisor approach to understand customer business drivers, risk posture, and technology roadmap. Structure and close deals that may include Ethernet, Wave, Dark Fiber, Cloud Connectivity, Managed Edge, IP, Security, and Private Dedicated Network solutions. Build strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders including C-suite, infrastructure, network, security, and procurement leaders. Position Zayos network assets and differentiated footprint as strategic enablers for business continuity, performance, and growth. Orchestrate internal teams (solutions engineering, product, pricing, legal, delivery) to deliver compelling, outcome-driven proposals. Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and account plans in CRM. Operate with urgency, discipline, and accountability across all stages of the sales lifecycle. Qualifications: 7+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, preferably selling network, cloud, or communications infrastructure, in the banking and financial vertical. Proven hunter mindset with a track record of closing complex, high-TCV deals. Experience in selling into financial services and banking (regional banks, large banks, or adjacent regulated industries strongly preferred). Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to navigate technical, operational, and business discussions. Comfort operating in long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with executive-level buyers. Ability to travel as required by customers. Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and results driven. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen. Confident communicator capable of influencing senior leaders. Resilient, competitive, and energized by building something new. Excellent time management and organizational skills. A sense of urgency and desire to rapidly accelerate results and career with Zayo Group Sales. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with a diverse group of personalities; must be approachable, show respect for others and be able to present data with effective communication and presentation skills. High tolerance for ambiguity and can work successfully in a matrix management model. Complete understanding of account management & the strategic selling process. Estimated Base Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $113,900.00 USD/annually. This role is eligible for participation in the sales commission plan. #LI-BW1 The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan. Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
