Position Overview Job Title: Union Relief Driver Location: Frederickson, WA Company: LeMay/PCR (Waste Connections) Job Type: Full-Time, Union Position Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 3:00 PM Occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed Compensation Starting Pay: $32.71/hour (91% of union scale) Top Scale Pay: $35.65/hour after 692 hours worked Stable 40-hour workweek with overtime opportunities Key Responsibilities Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned local routes to collect solid waste Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to service customers efficiently Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading/unloading waste without assistance Interact courteously with customers and represent the company professionally Complete other related duties as assigned Working Conditions Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 50 lbs Exposure to outdoor weather, including rain, heat, and cold Work around moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels Must follow all safety protocols and procedures Minimum Requirements Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement At least 2 years of relevant driving experience Ability to read, write, and communicate in English High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of truck components and inspection procedures Safety-Sensitive: YES To be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at www.careers.wasteconnections.com.
