About This Job This role will report onsite to our HQ in San Diego, CA. Axos Bank is seeking a seasoned analytics leader who partners with stakeholders to elicit requirements, translate business needs into scalable solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards, and define clear project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Builds and maintains complex data models, dashboards, and reports to monitor KPIs and project performance; presents insights and recommendations in compelling formats to enable decisive action. Demonstrates strong Microsoft SQL coding expertise to design, optimize, and maintain robust data solutions, ensuring high performance and data integrity across enterprise systems. Drives operational improvements by analyzing business functions, mapping processes, and updating procedures. Establishes metrics and benefits tracking and manages agreed initiatives through completion with strong governance, communication, and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications: Lead requirement elicitation sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and priorities Ensure alignment of solution designs with enterprise architecture standards and best practices. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and maintain complex data models, dashboards, and reports to monitor KPIs and project performance. Write, optimize, and maintain complex Microsoft SQL queries, stored procedures, to ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity. Present findings, recommendations, and project updates in clear and compelling formats to facilitate decision-making. Recommend operational improvements by analyzing business functions, gathering information, and evaluating system capabilities. Develop and update process map and procedure documentation to reflect changes as needed. Gather, assess, and report data to establish metrics and on-going benefits tracking. Effectively and efficiently manage and report on agreed-to initiatives to completion. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field 4+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry 1+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL for queries, stored procedures, to ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity Strong experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, SSRS, and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables) Familiarity with AI-driven tools and automation platforms, such as GitHub Copilot, Base64 encoding/decoding, and workflow automation tools such as N8N Solid understanding and experience developing data modeling, ETL processes, and relational database concepts Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions Experience working with and presenting to executive leadership, middle management, and operational teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, including conducting periodic code reviews and ensuring best practices Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive business decisions Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines Axos Employee Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year) HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading About Axos Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
