VCA Laguna Niguel Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our amazing team full-time (30-40 hours/week)! Our four-doctor general practice is located in the heart of Laguna Niguel and offers wellness and sick appointments, general surgery, and dentistry. Location: 28892 Crown Valley Pkwy, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 Salary: $ 18- 26 / hour Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per day, Saturdays required, no Sundays Your skills and expertise will support our doctor team in providing top-notch patient care and an unparalleled client experience. We focus on the employee experience, too! We schedule monthly staff meetings, offer on-site and online training, schedule off-site team bonding activities, and we know how to have fun! Required skills include: Obtaining medical histories Proper animal restraint and handling Administering SQ, IM, IV injections and SQ fluids IV catheterization and venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, saphenous) Lab work (in-house and reference lab) Radiographic positioning surgical pack sterilization Working independently and as part of a team A positive and helpful attitude Client communication Creating and reviewing cost estimates with clients Monitoring hospitalized, sedated, and post-op patients Benefits: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts, and more!
