Job Summary Our team is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in our Sacramento office. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad portfolio of exciting projects both locally and across North America. The Senior Bridge Engineer is responsible for the supervision, coordination and implementation of structural design elements including design calculations and reports, overseeing the preparation of drawings for projects, and other assignments of varying complexity and scope. Responsibilities & Qualifications As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will: Prepare and review comprehensive engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings for structural (bridge) design projects. Tackle the structural design of transportation structures, including bridges, tunnels, walls, and more. Mentor and lead junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise. Engage in communication and meetings with key clients, subconsultants, and project stakeholders. Play a vital role in local and major bridge projects, contributing your technical expertise. Review and check design calculations, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Ensure project drawings are accurate and complete. Guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality work products and services. Lead and participate in in-depth study projects. Coordinate and oversee technical approvals. Showcase TYLin's capabilities in delivering transportation projects to local and national audiences. Collaborate with leadership to identify potential markets, clients, and opportunities. Contribute to the development and execution of local business plans, including marketing to existing and potential clients. Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients and teaming partners. To thrive in this role, you should have: A Bachelors degree in civil engineering, accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET). A Masters degree is preferred. At least 10 years of structural design experience in bridges and related transportation structures. Advanced knowledge of Structural design and analysis software, including SAP2000, Larsa, LEAP Bridge, LPile, and column and frame ductility programs. Experience with Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation. Excellent technical skills. A client-focused mindset, always seeking to provide the best solutions. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $115,000 - $160,000 annually for this position and local market.
