We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Watertown/Syracuse, NY territory in this unique community based opportunity. Starting salary is $75,000 per year with an earning potential of a six-figure income after 5 years of successful service as an Account Executive/University Development Counselor. New hire training will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus. Grand Canyon Education offers a generous benefits package, including 100% tuition-free education for employees through the Master's degree program level and 75% coverage at the Doctorate degree program level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but not are limited to, the following: Explores new opportunities and develops innovative strategies and builds sustainable and direct relationships with community business leaders, organizations, educators, medical staff, and others to generate awareness of GCUs programs and to address their specific career needs and personal interests. Develops and executes the strategy and logistics necessary to cover a large geographic area which include organizing events such as on-site information seminars and presentations, or representing the University at conferences and/or conventions targeting specific audiences. Acts as Subject Matter Expert for assigned territories and GCUs higher educational programs for students and contacts to rely upon throughout the life-cycle enrollment process including application, admissions, tuition/financial aid, registration and retention processes. Develops and executes retention strategies for every student successfully enrolled. In collaboration with other University colleagues or management, develops marketing plans to promote the Colleges programs to constituents. Facilitates the distribution of informational materials through all appropriate channels within a territory. Works with GCUs enrollment team to enable seamless enrollment process for business leaders and staff. Contributes to enrollee(s) experience and positively impacts retention by acting as an advocate for GCU. Remains current with GCUs programs, new industry-wide trends and developments. As an Account Executive, a typical week might include the following: Strategy and execution. Youll be consistently identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your territory, building awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business and drive inquiry generation. Youll shape high impact partnerships for your territory and execute your daily work through informational presentations, calls and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value. Partner and influencer. Through a variety of mediums, you will use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families and partners. Whether in-person, over the phone or via email, you will champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth. Heart and Hustle. This is a community based role with ambitious targets! Working independently, youll be using your out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path towards a successful online learning experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong business and marketing acumen with a knowledge of business development strategy with a track record of new business/sales accomplishments. Ability to interact with all levels of employee types including C-level leaders. Exemplary communication skills, including verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong constituency building skill. Action and results oriented, self-starter, self directed and self motivated with an entrepreneurial quality. Must be able and willing to work without daily oversight. Good negotiation and persuasiveness skills. Must be successful in closing potential clients, customers, sales or similar. Research and lead generation building skills with effective follow-up. Must be a strong player with excellent planning and organizational skills in order to meet or exceed enrollment projections and expectations. Confident, high energy and capable of launching new territories successfully, if necessary. Knowledge of higher-learning environments and programs. Computer/office software proficiency including MS Office Suite. Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree (highly preferred) or 5 years related experience with a minimum of 60 college credits completed and progressing toward an undergraduate degree. Minimum of 3 years experience demonstrated success in attracting and retaining business-to-business, outside sales, account management experience with a significant product or service and preferably within a large, diverse geographical area. Experience and skill in building territories and leads. A combination of similar education and work experience may be substituted with prior approval. Job Requirements: Ability to travel in territory as required. May involve 80% travel requiring some overnights and on weekends. Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record. Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments. Must be willing to acknowledge and comply with job expectations and compensation guidelines upon hire.
