Job Description Summary: Minimum starting salary $15.50 / hour The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for maintaining environmental standards within established policies and procedures of Ozark Center and to perform a variety of general cleaning task to maintain patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas of the Organization. They provide services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. They demonstrate a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. They will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in institutional housekeeping. Responsibilities: Dust furniture, woodwork and equipment in client waiting and reception areas. Wet mop hard surface floors as needed and vacuum carpets. Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes, and other high areas using a ladder, gather and dispose of trash and waste materials using specified bags and/or containers. Clean/disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, door handles and walls of bathrooms. Keep cleaning equipment clean/in good repair and assist with other cleaning duties as assigned.
