Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) NOC Shift San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation Bakersfield, CA Full-Time | 10:30 PM 6:30 AM Pay Range: $18.00 $19.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Join a Team That Truly Cares San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Full-Time NOC shift team. As a premier 99-bed skilled nursing facility in Bakersfieldconveniently located across from the citys largest hospitalwe provide 24-hour personal and clinical care to a diverse resident population. We are proud to be the first facility in Kern County to implement a Non-Invasive Ventilator Program and continue to lead with innovation, integrity, and compassionate care. Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with each residents assessment, individualized care plan, and direction from licensed nursing staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene. Assist residents with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and mobility support. Measure and record vital signs (TPRs), weights, and intake/output as directed. Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents needs are met in a timely manner. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges. Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and common areas. Observe and report changes in residents physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the Charge Nurse. Assist residents during meals and document food and fluid intake. Follow infection control and safety protocols, including bloodborne pathogen procedures. Accurately complete documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, abuse allegations, or safety concerns. Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed. Follow all established policies and procedures and complete assigned tasks as directed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum 10th grade education required. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California. CPR certification preferred. Required Skills and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills for documentation purposes. Ability to identify and report changes in resident condition. Commitment to compassionate, resident-focused care. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repositioning residents. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and assist with heavier transfers as part of a team. Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations, including assisting with evacuation if needed. Work Environment This position operates within a skilled nursing facility environment and may involve exposure to healthcare-related conditions. The noise level is typically low to moderate.
