Palo Alto, California Job Description The Silicon Valley office is seeking to hire a Legal Support Specialist. The Legal Support Specialist plays a key role in providing daily administrative and practice support to attorneys and legal professionals. The Legal Support Specialist works closely with Paralegals and Legal Practice Coordinators (Legal Secretaries) to assist with document preparation, coordination, and general administrative support. The position requires the ability to perform clientbillable work as directed. Primary responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to, preparing expense reports, check requests, and new business memos. Preparing engagement letters, mailing and binders, calendar entries, editing pre-bills, and maintaining electronic files. Assisting with travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings. In addition, the candidate will assist the attorneys with document production, compiling documents, preparing binders; quality checking to ensure materials are collated properly. Additional duties include creating hyperlinks, assisting with electronic filings, tracking deadlines related to filings, compliance requirements, and court dates (as applicable). Supporting the preparation of various forms, filings, and related documentation. Other responsibilities may be assigned as business needs require. Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a strong interest in the legal profession. The candidate must be proficient in MS Office, Excel and Power Point. The candidate will have strong administrative and interpersonal skills; ability to handle a high-volume desk with extreme accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. Strong proofreading and solid Excel and computer skills are essential. The successful candidate will be a positive self-starter, possess a strong work ethic and professional demeanor, demonstrates initiative and can successfully multi-task and prioritize to handle the workload at a very fast pace. The current requirement is a minimum of 4 days in the office, remote 1 day with the understanding that this schedule may change as business needs require. Overtime flexibility is required. Candidate must be a team player and have the ability to adapt to changing technologies and procedures. BA/BS degree required. Notary Public, a plus. The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
