Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Patient Transport Team? Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher and Patient bed. This includes the transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and special equipment. Assists clinical staff with the transferring of patients to/from beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs safely. Collects specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment and deliver items to appropriate destination. Maintains equipment and report malfunctions immediately to the appropriate person. Monitors surrounding environment for unsafe situations and equipment and reports issues to the appropriate person. Prioritizes duties by demonstrating self-motivation, flexibility, and cooperation with changes in work volume, emergencies and staffing needs. Works closely with the clinical staff to assure positive patient outcomes. Maintains strict patient confidentiality Retrieves equipment, delivers and maintenances stretchers, wheelchairs, infusion pumps and precaution carts. Delivers medications from the pharmacy as routinely scheduled. Performs the duties of a storeroom clerk as needed: answering phones, delivering supplies, processing incoming stock and coverage for after business hours to include holidays. Work Shift: Per Diem, Evenings Education Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent. Required Certifications: AHA Heart Saver AED or BLS. Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.88 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
