We are seeking an Architectural Specification Manager Pacific Northwest U.S., passionate about sustainability, building performance, and improving the built environment, to join our Architectural Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be based in the Seattle or Portland area with territory responsibility for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. There is 30% travel required. Your Future Team Youll be part of a national team of 9 Architectural Specification Managers and report directly to the U.S. Director of Architectural Sales. Our team thrives on collaboration and results and is deeply committed to addressing some of the most critical challenges in the commercial construction industryfrom climate change and decarbonization to occupant well-being and life safety. What You Will Be Doing As an Architectural Specification Manager, your core focus will be building strong, scalable relationships across the design and construction ecosystemincluding architects, developers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and building owners. You will also engage with decision-makers within local governments, city and state agencies, to identify potential opportunities with designers and higher-level decision makers who influence contractors, subcontractors, and installers. Build and maintain relationships with the architectural and design community to drive long-term specification growth and project wins. Engage with policymakers, government officials, and community leaders to advocate for sustainable, fire-resilient, and energy-efficient building standards. Create and manage an upstream project pipeline, collaborating with Sales to convert opportunities through consultative, value-based selling. Collaborate closely with local Sales team handing off projects to achieve wins through distribution. Navigate complex project dynamics, overcoming objections and aligning ROCKWOOL solutions with performance, safety, and sustainability objectives. Leverage technical expertise, building science knowledge, and familiarity with codes, policies, and trends to position ROCKWOOL as an industry expert. Actively participate in industry events and association meetings, using these opportunities to network, learn, and promote ROCKWOOLs product and brand visibility. Organizations include, but are not limited to; AIA Chapters in the region (LA, SD, Phoenix, etc.), USGBC-CA, Carbon Leadership Forum, Passive House CA, etc. Invest in your growth, through formal internal and external training that supports your technical development, product knowledge, and market expertise. What You Bring Bachelors Degree 4+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, sales or other high-level experience in the building material industry with strong technical aptitude a MUST Understanding of architectural drawings and construction process Confident communicator with the ability to influence across multiple, and high level, stakeholder groups Motivated, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities Comfortable navigating policy, regulatory, and community conversations related to construction standards Understanding and/or involvement in high performance building standards, California sustainability requirements, and energy policy Proficiency in the MS Office suite and CRM experience Ability to travel 30% of the time What We Offer Competitive Pay & Benefits from Day 1: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. 401K Match: Up to 6% Paid Time Off: Generous PTO, 12 paid holidays, and parental leave. The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
