Job TitleBusiness Specialist Agency Texas A&M Forest Service Department Emergency Support Funciton #4 (ESF4) Proposed Minimum Salary$4,500.00 monthly Job LocationCollege Station, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description The Business Specialist will provide administrative and fiscal functions within the Texas A&M Forest Service for a range of complex and non-routine business activities including emergency response cost tracking and estimates, inter-agency billing and processing FEMA and State reimbursement packages, with specific support to Aviation Operations as well as other emergency response functions. Responsibilities: -Provide administrative and fiscal functions within the agency related to fire and all-hazard response, including: cost tracking and inter-agency billing related to aviation operations, flight cost tracking, contract documentation and utilization reporting, maintaining fiscal, personnel and program records. Ensure accuracy, completeness, eligibility and adherence to federal, state and agency policies. - Responsible for preparation and reporting of agency cost reports for fire and all-hazard response to the state. Provide accurate documentation of emergency response hours for aviation, field operations and other emergency response functions. - Assist with delivery and development of incident finance training for field personnel. -Coordinate with regional and national groups and committees on incident business operations. -Serve as a professional representative of the agency, respond promptly and carefully to requests for information or assistance. -Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Required Education: Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience: Two (2) years of cost tracking and billing. Preferred Experience: Experience in incident finance and NWCG practices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required Knowledge: Basic MS applications. Preferred Knowledge: Working knowledge of FAMIS, Canopy or iSuite applications. Required Skills: Great attention to detail.
