The Opportunity This position works out of our Westfield, Indiana location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease. As the Manufacturing Engineering Technician, youll provide crucial technical support for all manufacturing operations. You will work with engineers on set-up, process troubleshooting, and calibration, while also performing rework and quality tasks. You will provide technical support to the manufacturing processes by repairing, maintaining, and modifying production equipment to ensure continuous and efficient manufacturing within a clean room environment. What Youll Work On Respond to assembly line issue calls, diagnose equipment and process problems, perform the necessary repairs or modifications, and documents the corrective actions taken Evaluate operating data in real time, using statistical tools to conduct on-line adjustments to processes, materials, instruments, or equipment to maintain quality, yield, and output. Assist with the development or revision of process documentation and procedures, as well as certifying manufacturing associates to procedures and best practices. Assist engineers with the installation and validation of equipment and processes following established procedures. Ensure the escalation process is followed so that equipment and process availability, performance, and quality issues are being addressed as they arise. Perform mechanical assembly of electromechanical subassemblies and devices. Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts. Perform testing of electronic mechanical components and assemblies using automated test equipment. Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations. Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives in order to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics. Maintain accurate records to ensure DHR and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed to assure the quality of all products. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions. Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages. Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance. Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information. Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors Shift First shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM EST Education H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination. Two-year degree or some college credits preferred. Required Experience Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and specifications. Proficiency with common hand tools and precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, multimeters). Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment or process issues. Computer skills for documentation, data entry, and report generation (Word, Excel). Solid understanding of technical fundamentals relevant to manufacturing processes. Ability to work independently or as a part of a cross-functional team Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with engineers, operators, and production leadership Preferred Experience: Knowledge in Maximo System. Previous experience in Clean Room environments.
