Employment Status: Part Time & Seasonal Wage Range: $14 to $15/hr Minimum Age: 15 years old Background Check Required: No Driver Verification Required: No Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using machine and manual cleaning methods. This role ensures the kitchen and dishwashing areas are clean, safe, and organized, supporting overall kitchen operations and contributing to a positive dining experience. Must be willing to work as a part of a team to assure an enjoyable working environment, and quality guest experience. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Ensure dishes are properly cleaned & handled in a timely manner. Mastering the use of dishwashing equipment, including industrial dishwashers, and understanding the proper techniques for handwashing delicate items. Maintain a consistent flow of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils to support restaurant. Sorting and pre-rinsing dishes to remove food debris, ensuring efficient cleaning. Prioritizing tasks to ensure that essential items are cleaned and returned to service promptly. Monitoring the levels of cleaning supplies, including detergents, sanitizers, and cleaning solutions. Proactively restocking supplies to prevent disruptions in the cleaning process. Understanding the importance of proper sanitization in preventing foodborne illnesses. Ensuring that quat levels meet the required standards to effectively sanitize surfaces and equipment. Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Being a team player and helping other staff members when needed. Keeping floors and surfaces free of spills and debris. Secondary Responsibilities: Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance. Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred Technical- None Physical Capabilities- Able to stand/walk for whole shift, lift up to 50 lbs Additional- Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required- English reading and writing Minimum time in related position- Restaurant kitchen and dishwashing experience preferred.
